About Me...
My name is Lauren, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (lic# 85889). I find great fulfillment in what I do and am lucky to be able to do it. My office is located in San Mateo, just off 101. I love the Bay Area, the diversity it brings, and feel truly grateful to be here.
I have always been interested in human nature, and curious about why we do what we do. I have always felt good about helping others. This interest in humans and human behavior lead me to the beginning of my education in psychology.
I completed my undergraduate degree with a B.A. in psychology at Cal Poly State University, in San Luis Obispo, CA. I then went on to complete my graduate degree with a M.A. in clinical psychology at St. Mary's College of California, in Moraga, CA.
Currently I work in a private practice setting that is greatly collaborative, which I am very appreciative of. I work with several other LMFT's, as well as LCSW's (licensed clinical social workers). We also have two nurse practitioners along with two board certified psychiatrists, who help our clients when there is a need for medication management or education in psychopharmacy. We work as a team to provide our clients with the best, most comprehensive care possible.
